Technology became a funny one in my lifetime. As it emphasizes the applications of knowledge for practical ends, it used to relate to things. Stuff we can touch. But since the explosion of personal computing and networking, a practical end can be a software, ie a really useful thing that we cannot touch.
I have no quarrel with software technology, but it is not the kind that I will write about here. Armies of people talk about software applications very well, I do not. But what I do know better is how the physical world allowed the virtual one to come into existence and how they interact. In these pages, technology will mean the physical things we make to explore, understand or improve our existence.
Personally, the handicraft side of my career is one that brings me the most joy.
