Oxford Quantum Computing

Where? Reading, UK

What? “OQC has built the UK’s most advanced superconducting quantum computer in the UK.”

What, exactly? We often hear about the new quantum applications, but usually with a strong emphasis on the software. Those new algorithms must be based on something tangible, a new hardware that exploits the quantum world. In addition, scalability and stability are key issues in making a quantum computer. OQC designs and builds 3D-based superconducting hardware to avoid the common pitfalls of 2D circuits. OQC’s quantum computer is based on their patented qubit, the Coaxmon.
