WindShape

Description

What? WindShape “designs, manufactures and operates digital wind facilities“.

What, exactly? Standard wind tunnels are fairly static and are literally that: a big tunnel in which an artificial wind blows. We’ve all seen photos of them, with parts or a small scale vehicle being tested for aerodynamics. But real winds are turbulent, complicated affairs. So WindShape had the idea (now patented) to design a modular structure and even the ability to reproduce weather conditions. The object flies rather than being fixed in place, which allows, for example, to test drones in real (but indoors) conditions. They even tested the Ingenuity drone now flying on Mars.
