What, exactly? NV centres are a type of defects present in diamond that can now be engineered into the material. They happen to be extremely sensitive to magnetic fields because of their spin state, even in air and at room temperature. Qnami couples this property to the existing scanning microscopy, in order to create the next generation, high precision magnetometer for material characterization, quantum and biological applications.
